INFLAME
DEFENSE™,
is a combination of enzymes and herbs and was designed to be an
extremely effective aid when taken in significant amounts between
meals (on an empty stomach), for chronic and acute inflammation.
The combination of enzymes and in this formula helps eliminate
the foreign matter that causes inflammation while the herbs ass
sit in inhibiting the enzymes that increase inflammation such
as COX-II and 5-lipooxygenase
(LOX).
Inflammation
is the body's own natural method of eliminating or reducing the
stress from physical, chemical or metabolic imbalances resulting
in tissue damage. Inflammation includes edema (swelling), loss
of fluid, allergies, tissue damage, muscle pain, joint pain and
stiffness.
In
a healthy person, the inflammatory process rids the body of this
damaged tissue. When various biological systems, including the
immune system, are deficient, however, a chronic inflammatory
process can result. To speed up recovery, ingestion of properly
combined enzymes and herbs are most helpful. |

INFLAME
DEFENSE™
Ingredients
| Pancreatin
4X USP |
Consists
of three enzymes lipase, amylase, and protease.
Lipase increases the ability of the cell
to allow toxins to leave and nutrients, such as antioxidants like
vitamin E, C, A, and the trace mineral selenium, to enter which
assists in controlling inflammation
Amylase facilitates the total destruction of those
anaphylatoxins which carry polysaccharide, or sugar chains, by allowing
the proteolytic enzymes, protease, trypsin, chymotrypsin, bromelain
and papain, to hydrolyze, or digest its protein structures. Anaphylatoxins
are potent meditators of inflammation.
Protease hydrolyzes, or digests, complement, a
complex series of plasma proteins that normally circulate in the
blood in an inactive state, that when activated release chemical
mediators that amplify inflammation. Also, breaks down fibrin, whose
role in the production of inflammation is to form a wall around
the area of inflammation resulting in the blockage of blood and
lymph vessels leading to swelling and pain as the pressure exerts
force on the surrounding nerves.

| Papain
|
A proteolytic, protein
digesting enzyme isolated from mature papaya, has demonstrated to
be effective in preventing complement activation thereby preventing
the production of other chemical mediators such as anaphylatoxins
and inflammation. Also, breaks down fibrin, whose role in the production
of inflammation is to form a wall around the area of inflammation
resulting in the blockage of blood and lymph vessels leading to
swelling and pain as the pressure exerts force on the surrounding
nerves.

| Bromelain
|
A proteolytic, protein
digesting enzyme from mature pineapple, which increases cell tissue
permeability reducing edema, fluid retention and swelling, and a
more efficient delivery of nutrients and other substances, removal
of waste material, reduction of inflammation, and repair of damaged
tissue. Also, breaks down fibrin, whose role in the production of
inflammation is to form a wall around the area of inflammation resulting
in the blockage of blood and lymph vessels leading to swelling and
pain as the pressure exerts force on the surrounding nerves.

| Trypsin
|
A proteolytic, protein
digesting enzyme, that hydrolyzes, digests, anaphylatoxins, powerful
producers of inflammation.
Also, breaks down fibrin, whose role in the production of inflammation
is to form a wall around the area of inflammation resulting in the
blockage of blood and lymph vessels leading to swelling and pain
as the pressure exerts force on the surrounding nerves.

Possesses antioxidant
activity proven effective against free radicals and Reactive Oxygen
Toxic Species, a form of free radicals produced by oxygen reaction
with cells, especially hydrogen peroxide and superoxides. Also,
increases absorption and utilization of vitamin C for use as an
antioxidant and tissue repair.

| White
Willow Bark |
Used for thousands of
years as a natural treatment for pain and inflammation. The active
chemical in white willow bark is called salicin and when ingested
is converted by the body to salicylic acid providing anti-inflammatory
and pain relieving actions as it blocks the production of the Cox-2
enzyme which contributes to the inflammatory process. All aspirin
taken today is synthetically produced and can thin the blood and
causes loss of blood from the stomach. White willow bark with its
natural occurring sailcin does not cause these problems.

| Turmeric
|
A bright yellow spice
that has been used as a condiment and as a medicine since 600 B.C.
Contains natural occurring curcuminoids that have the ability to
block 5-lipooxygenase (LOX), involved in the biosynthesis of potent
inflammatory mediators (leucotrienes), and Cox-II activity inhibiting
inflammation, swelling, and pain. |

Heart
Disease: About 400, 000 Americans each year die from heart
disease usually caused by plaque buildup on the arteries eventually
cutting off the blood supply to the heart. A major contributing
factor to this plaque buildup is inflammation of the blood vessels.
This inflammation can be determined by the amount of C-reactive
protein in the blood. The higher the concentration the greater
the risk of a heart attack and stroke. Clinical research with
enzymes, as in INFLAME
DEFENSE™,
have been shown effective in decreasing inflammation of the blood
vessels resulting in a reduction of C-reactive protein, thereby
reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke.
A major benefit of using natural
enzymes is the avoidance of the dangerous side effects caused
by such drugs as aspirin, ibuprofen, Pravastatin, Lipitor, and
other anti-inflammatory drugs.
